Divya + Satish Downtown LA Wedding; Part 1

I have been patiently waiting to see these photos from this beautiful wedding at the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles.  I am so happy I waited, these photos are absolutely gorgeous and so much fun! Thank you Skye Blu Photography for these amazing images!

Divya and Satish's sunrise ceremony was everything colorful and dramatic (which we love!).  A white elevated catwalk was placed as the couples aisle.  We designed a specific diamond pattern with rose petals down the elongated aisle running all the way to the bright and beautiful mandap.  The color palette really made a statement in the ballroom consisting of bold fuchsia and bright saffron.  Flanking the large stage were decor accents.  Over sized cylinders with orange crystals and large hand made rosettes that were placed at the face of the the cylinder were placed at the sides of the mandap.  Ribbon treatments and hanging garlands finished off the design perfectly.

Inspiration: Organic Citrus

For this couple, we used the palette of yellow, deep orange, white and brown. Yellow was carried into the design by way of the bridesmaid dresses and further placed into the floral selections. The evnet was held at an Italian restaurant and the couple wanted to have somewhat of a Tuscany feel. We selected the Shimmer crush orange satin linen with coordinating chair sashes. Carafes of wine were placed at each table for the guests to enjoy anytime they got thirsty!

The flowers selected for this wedding included cymbidium orchids, hydrangea, and roses. One of my favorite flowers to use for a yellow flower is the cymbidium orchid as it is so truely yellow and always vibrant.

Shawna Yamamoto used a textured, rich satin ribbon to wrap around the handle. The ribbon is embellished with small jewels in copper to accent the colors and not create a fussy handle. We love our handles and always try to make them extra special for our bride and her maids!
