Gorgeous White, Black, and Gold Wedding at Los Verdes Golf Course

We had so much fun creating all of the custom décor for this wedding! Combining gold sequins and white roses, we created a custom-built canopy ring with matching isle tie-backs. Our large, lush white arrangements set atop oversized golden urns truly set the stage for the beautiful ceremony!

The fun black, gold, and white reception featured a custom art-deco backdrop, a very unique “floating” sweetheart table adorned with rows of golden votives, and custom gold-sequin covered marquee letters of the couple’s initials. We were also able to introduce our newest addition to the SYED centerpiece collection- an array of beautiful gold leaf covered platforms!
Thanks to Dipan Desai at Hitched Photo for the wonderful images and Mili Shah at Planning Elegance for the impeccable organization!

Real Wedding: Magenta and Green Garden Event

Take a look at this gorgeous garden event we recently designed at the Nixon Library.  I am absolutely  in love with the white, magenta and floral mandap we created. Heavy swags of white chiffon, adorned with an array of beautiful florals surrounding the top, while petite floral clutches were used as tie backs . Modern white pop chairs served perfectly as the bride and groom seating.    Margenta and white petals, designed in a swirl pattern lead the aisle.  Finally, a 20' floral garland hung  on the backs of the chairs for ceremony as grand  entrance piece.

Harvard Photography did a wonderful job at capturing this event!  Take a look below for more images.

Reception decor consisted of elements that share the same garden feel as the ceremony, however concentrated on golden features that cohesively work with the Nixon Library ballroom.  A combination of low and high centerpieces filled the room.  Centering the room, we designed the stage to add drama with height by using over sized candle walls.  What a wonderful event!

A special thanks to the coordinating team, Planning Elegance. Enjoy!

Down the Aisle with Chriselle: DIY with SYED

Down the aisle with Chriselle continues, as we had a visit from Chriselle herself to show her and all her followers a special DIY trick to make chique and customizable book platforms. Simple, easy and elegant! We love these platforms!

RoomForty Tasting

Oh FOODGRACIOUS!!! I was so lucky to be apart of this wonderful tasting hosted by the extremely talented caterers from Room Forty at the Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.  Collaborating with other vendors, Alex Rembac from Sterling Engagments joined an amazing team for this celebration.  Ideas for decor were really inspired by the  pairings and presentations of food and beverages by Room Forty.  Check out some of the images from that day!!!

Place setting, simple burlap style place mat with an adorable lace trimmed napkin provided by Designer Specialty Linens.  A delicate paper bag held the detailed and quite outstanding menu. All stationary provided by the fabulously talented Prim and Pixie.  A special thank you gift of plantable fresh herbs were also given to the guests!

For decor, it was important for us to draw attention to the senses with colors, smells, and textures.  Continuing down the long wooden tables provided by Classic Party Rentals, we used chique tall silver urns which held pastel color florals, fresh herbs, and my favorite detail ....artichokes!  Other vessels that were used held single blooms of gorgeous pink peonies and fresh kale.  This tablescape was so much fun for us!

Look at SYED  hard at work!  Shawna with her free- style hand writing, wrote all the guests names onto two of our oversized mirrors!

This was absolutely one fun day!!! Full of great food, great drinks and great people!  A special thanks to Ryan Garvin for these beautiful images!!

SYED Featured in The Bride and Bloom Magazine: A Tribute to Alexander Mcqueen

I am so excited to blog about this photo shoot we were able to be apart of earlier this year. The Bride and Bloom Magazine, inspired by great fashion designers, has created a beautiful and quite interesting spread on four major influential designers of high-end fashion. Approached by Bride and Bloom, we were extremely excited about this venture, especially when they asked us to create a tribute tabletop to designer, Alexander McQueen. His avant-garde, beyond the norms of fashion really got our creative juices flowing. Challenged by the effort to create something on McQueen's level while still being approachable to brides was not easy, especially because his creative palette was theatrical and often times dark and gothic. With that being said below are our inspiration images and some images from the photo shoot. I hope you enjoy!

This issue is now being sold, check out your nearest stores to pick up a copy!

Also, thank you to all the vendors involved:

Look one was inspired by McQueen's ornate chain head piece.

The second look was inspired by this  red and black gown.
