SYED Featured on Style Me Pretty; Love Found Shipwrecked

This styled photo shoot was one of my favorite designs to execute! Spending an entire day on a beach under the beautiful sun, collaborating with some amazing vendors to produce a classic and heartfelt scene, who wouldn't love that!? For weeks this notable theme consumed our minds.  Partnered with the wonderfully talented Hallie from La Boheme Events, the Love Found Shipwrecked scene came to life.  Take a peep at Style Me Pretty's feature on the shoot!  Evan Hunt Photography, hats off to you my friend.... awesome job!!!

Thanks to all the wonderful vendors who helped make this photo shoot such a success!!

RoomForty Tasting

Oh FOODGRACIOUS!!! I was so lucky to be apart of this wonderful tasting hosted by the extremely talented caterers from Room Forty at the Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.  Collaborating with other vendors, Alex Rembac from Sterling Engagments joined an amazing team for this celebration.  Ideas for decor were really inspired by the  pairings and presentations of food and beverages by Room Forty.  Check out some of the images from that day!!!

Place setting, simple burlap style place mat with an adorable lace trimmed napkin provided by Designer Specialty Linens.  A delicate paper bag held the detailed and quite outstanding menu. All stationary provided by the fabulously talented Prim and Pixie.  A special thank you gift of plantable fresh herbs were also given to the guests!

For decor, it was important for us to draw attention to the senses with colors, smells, and textures.  Continuing down the long wooden tables provided by Classic Party Rentals, we used chique tall silver urns which held pastel color florals, fresh herbs, and my favorite detail ....artichokes!  Other vessels that were used held single blooms of gorgeous pink peonies and fresh kale.  This tablescape was so much fun for us!

Look at SYED  hard at work!  Shawna with her free- style hand writing, wrote all the guests names onto two of our oversized mirrors!

Presentation, presentation, presentation!!! Every aspect  of Room Forty's meals, were carefully thought out and presented in such an amazing and unique way! Check out some of the presentation concepts.

This was absolutely one fun day!!! Full of great food, great drinks and great people!  A special thanks to Ryan Garvin for these beautiful images!!

Cal State Fullerton Communications Week

We have had so many great interns from Cal State Fullerton who have come to work side by side with our team to understand all aspects that make Shawna Yamamoto Event Design.  Dedicated, hard working students who are interested in the event industry come to SYED and participate in the procedures that goes into the design process; experience is key to these students.  They are a huge part of our production process and executing designs.  Headed by SYED team member Shaynee, these interns work behind the scenes to help prepare all decor elements incorporated in an event whether it be adorning vases or constructing backdrops or prop fabrications.

Today, I had the opportunity to participate in the university's Communcation's Internship Fair.  Along with 14 other companies, SYED offered different intern positions to these communication students.  It was a great opportunity to meet the advisors of this program and eager students who want to come and work for SYED.

I wanted to give a big thanks to CSUF for inviting us to the fair, I had such a great time!!
